The Benefits of magical Matcha Green Tea

Green Tea is a plant often consumed by steeping the tealeaves in boiling water. Drinking this tea has been known to provide numerous amounts of benefits for the health of the consumer. Matcha Green Tea is the whole green tea leaves ground up to be consumed in higher concentration. By drinking this tea in its whole form, you receive more benefit than by just steeping part of the plant. This provides you with a synergistic effect by consuming the plant as a whole.

Green tea is known to contain catechins. These catechins have a direct antioxidant affect on the body, which has the advantage of helping to protect against degenerative diseases, oxidative stress and prevents neurological problems!

This amazing plant has antioxidant effects that help to reduce to risk of many chronic diseases including: lowering blood pressure, reduced risk of stroke, coronary heart disease, cardiovascular disease, and aids in the prevention of cancer.[1]

It has also been studied to have an inhibitory effects on certain bacteria’s and viruses such as: helicobacter pylori infection and influenza virus. The health benefit of this plant is numerous by providing the tea drinker with anti-inflammatory, antiarthritic, antibacterial, and anti-viral effects. It’s no wonder that sipping on some Matcha can help you feel more balanced and rejuvenated in the morning!

Matcha green tea can also be added to smoothies, juices, as well as in a latte. There is a number of ways to enjoy this awesome super food! My favourite is to enjoy it hot, with some coconut milk and cinnamon with a drizzle of maple syrup. Mango Green Matcha Smoothie

  • 1 cup of Frozen Mango
  • 1 Banana
  • 5 cup of packed Spinach
  • 1-2 tsp of Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 1-2 tsp of Maca Powder
  • 5 – 2 cups of Almond or Coconut Milk
